Refacing FAQ's
Q: How long does it take to reface a kitchen?
A: After the doors and drawers are custom built and finished, an average kitchen takes approximately 3 to 6 working days. 5 star certified installers work consecutive days until your project is completed and clean up every day before they leave. If you add a countertop to the project add approximately 5-7 working days.
Q: Is refacing cheaper than new cabinets
A: Yes, refacing is about 30% cheaper than custom cabinets. We are also a custom cabinetmaker and can give you an estimate for either service.
Q: Do you miter your edges?
A: No, this edge is vulnerable and will not last, when doing a wood reface you only want to use custom milled mouldings that enhance the overall appearance of your cabinets.
Remodeling FAQ's
Q: How long does a kitchen remodel take?
A: After the custom cabinets are built and finished, an average kitchen remodel will take approximately 15-21 working days to install (including the countertop).
Q: Are custom cabinets better than semi custom or modular cabinets?
A: Yes, every kitchen is unique and custom cabinets will give you the flexibility to make the cabinets various sizes so you don’t have to use filler panels or have unused space. In addition, the material is far superior to any semi or modular cabinet.
Q: Is it important where cabinets are built and finished?
A: Yes, most cabinet companies have their cabinets finished out of state or out of country. This poses a quality control problem because the colors vary and finishes are mostly non-repairable.
Q:Do you offer other services besides kitchen remodeling?
A: Yes, we can also do bathrooms, dens, hallways, garage and storage cabinets.
Q:Are certain woods better for a remodeling project?
A: Yes, since woods have different density properties, certain woods will vary in durability and appearance. Ask our consultants which woods would best fit your needs.
Q:Is it important to have the cabinets finished before they are installed?
A: Yes, you want everything finished in a fully enclosed spray booth, this will ensure the wood cures and dries in a dust free environment. Finishes sprayed inside your home will be messy and not have the "fine furniture" quality and will not last.
